Location: Orangeville, ON, Canada
Salary:
$28.90 CAD per hour, with an expected workload of approximately 40 to 60 hours per week.
Job Requirements:
To apply for the Long Haul Truck Driver positions, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school graduation certificate
- Class 1/A driver’s license
- Good spoken English skills
- Experience is preferred but not required
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the following:
- Drive straight and articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Operate as part of a two-person team.
- Maintain and repair reports while overseeing all aspects of the truck.
- Record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption, and service hours.
- Exhibit excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills.
- Obtain necessary special permits and documents for transporting cargo on various routes.
- Check the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, brakes, lights, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Regularly maintain trip reports, inspection reports, and driver logbooks.
- Load and unload goods/materials for transportation between different locations.
- Be willing to travel cross-border and internationally.
